What Counselling Is?

 "Counselling is a talking therapy where you talk in confidence to a counsellor who will help you find ways to deal with difficulties in your life. Talking therapy is a psychological treatment for mental and emotional problems like stress, anxiety, depression etc". (NHS website, 2018)

Counselling plays a crucial role in improving the health and well-being of our society. It is not about giving advice or opinions, nor is it a friendly chat with a friend. It helps people to talk about their feelings, think about their choices or their behaviour, and make positive changes in their lives.

Individual Counselling
Is when a client work one-on-one with a trained counsellor. It is usually done in a safe and confidential space to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals to become the best version of themselves.

People seek therapy for a wide variety of reasons, from
Coping with major life challenges, trauma or childhood abuse.
Dealing with depression or anxiety, to simply desiring personal growth, greater self-knowledge and building confidence.
